With a well-set curriculum of different levels of readings taught, we teach children to not only be able to understand the general idea of the reading passage, but using a critical reading method, they will understand every detail of the reading passage and use it to think more analytically.
By learning general grammar with us, we help children to craft sentences to express and describe their thoughts and feelings.
After educating students on basic grammar concepts using the ESL teaching method, they will learn Advanced English grammar by summing up the basic grammar concepts with the actual terms and details.
We teach children to comprehend listening passages with the method of note-taking. In addition to summarizing key points, children will be able to understand the listening passage with ease. Later they will not need to use the note-taking method, but will be able to listen and comprehend native English speakers.
Once students are ready, we begin to teach them how to craft a well written essay with essential skills to persuade people with logic.
In Alexander’s English Academy, during class time, only English textbooks are used that are specifically chosen for the students’ level and advancement. Students are regularly tested on new vocabulary and their ability to apply it correctly in spoken or written language. Every student is also given the opportunity to complete online English homework, which solidifies knowledge learned in class and helps them to advance. This program helps them to preview and review material learned or about to be taught.
Difference Between the Rise Program and the Elite Program
The Rise Program allows students to come in daily at their preferred time and learn at their own pace. It is a self-directed learning program where students study consistently under the guidance of a teacher in a fun and enjoyable environment.
The Elite Program, on the other hand, follows a lecture-style format with fixed class times. It offers a more challenging level of study and homework and is best suited for students who demonstrate strong academic abilities.
